For entities: To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money-laundering activities, federal law requires BitGo Trust Company, a South Dakota chartered Trust Company, or BitGo Trust Company New York LLC, a New York Department of Financial Services Company (“BitGo Trust”) to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for your entity:
When completing this application, all individuals associated with the account will be required to provide their name, address, date of birth, social security number (or foreign equivalent), and documents listed to ensure that BitGo Trust complies with all state and federal regulatory requirements. BitGo Trust may also utilize a third-party information provider for verification purposes. BitGo Trust reserves the right to request additional identifying documentation.
